Our Story
Based in Co. Louth we have manufactured continental meat products since 1964. We only use 100% Irish pork and beef, our unique spices have been developed with our years of experience in the Irish and UK market. Our smoked products are smoked only in smokehouses, we immersion cure our ham and bacon products using traditional methods, and all our products are hand finished to the highest standard.
Over our 50 years, there have been many changes in the food industry. Regulations now prevent cooked and fermented meats to be produced in the same plant and Ireland's pigs now do not have the necessary fat composition required to make a really good salami. We therefore took the decision to cease salami production and concentrate on cooked and smoked continental meats. Our salami recipes are now produced by our partner company who produce the logs solely for us. We then further process in our second site in Ireland.
We have invested heavily in our two purpose built EU and BRC approved sites, their class leading equipment, and our valued team members. This allows for the quality, consistency and efficiency our customers require. Our NPD team develop products that meet the demands of the market and our target focused customers.
This approach enables us production flexibility to supply our customers in the food service, retail and manufacturing sectors with the products, in the format they require, at the shortest possible lead time, with the knowledge that that product will meet their required quality and produced in safe and approved premises here in Ireland. We are still very much a family business now in its second generation, only now supplying domestically and internationally, and of this I am very proud.
